To say that he lives and breathes for the Blues would be putting it lightly. For more than a decade, French musician and composer Eric LaValette has recorded and toured extensively. Born in a family of musicians, he fell in love with the genre early on. This new album finds its roots in the US of A, of course, and in the roaring thunder of America’s open roads and a race for first place. LaValette sings like a true hero and plays the guitar with fierce excitement, surrounded by a strong Blues trio (Greg Lamazères on harmonica, guitar and vocals; Jeff Cazorla on bass, vocals and Jérémy Cazorla on drums, percs and vocals). Tied together, LaValette’s various influences leave ample room for his very personal and authentic sound. One can’t help but get carried away by such dynamic and catchy compositions.
